On Thursday, 2 June, the Saeima adopted in the third reading amendments to the Immigration Law. The amendments stipulate the introduction of remote work visas to promote the migration of highly qualified professionals to Latvia.

Lilac variety “Freedom” dedicated to Saeima’s centenary (26.05.2022.)
On Thursday, 26 May, the Saeima hosted a ceremonial event naming a new lilac variety dedicated to the centenary of the Saeima. The new variety is named “Freedom” (Brīve). It conveys a symbolic message about the commitment to our country’s greatest values — freedom, independence and democracy.

He expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided to Ukraine by Latvia and its people, who have chosen the side of justice and regard Ukraine’s fight for freedom as their own.
