Speaker Mūrniece: we appreciate Swiss initiative to rebuild Ukraine
We highly appreciate Switzerland's leadership in spearheading the recovery of Ukraine. The conference in Lugano, co-organised by Switzerland and Ukraine, is a successful start to coordinated support from the democratic world for the recovery of Ukraine. Ukraine needs the support of the international community now as Ukraine's recovery is not a matter for tomorrow, but today. What is needed most now is military assistance from allies for Ukraine to restore its sovereignty—to stop the aggressor and regain its territory. Ināra Mūrniece: Three Seas Initiative aims to attract investment and boost regional growth
The Three Seas Initiative covers 12 countries between the Adriatic, Baltic, and Black seas and aims to promote the development and connectivity of the region. On Thursday, 16 June, the Saeima passed in the final reading a law that provides for the dismantling of the sites glorifying the Soviet and Nazi regimes, including the Monument to the Soviet soldiers—Liberators of Soviet Latvia and Riga from the German Fascist Invaders in the Victory Park in Riga.
