On 25 and 26 October of this year, Latvia will receive an official visit by László Kövér, Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary, and Alpár Gyopáros, Vice-chairman of the Hungarian–Latvian Group of the National Assembly of Hungary.
The Hungarian Speaker will visit the Saeima and meet with Solvita Āboltiņa, Speaker of the Saeima. Both speakers will hold a press briefing after the meeting. In the Saeima, László Kövér will also meet with Arvils Ašeradens, Chairman of the group for interparliamentary relations with Hungary, and members of the group.
During the visit, Speaker Kövér will also meet with Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis; ceremonially lay flowers at the Monument of Freedom; visit the Academic Library of the University of Latvia, where he will attend the opening of exhibition of works by Elga Sakse, Hungarian–Latvian literary translator; visit the Museum of the Occupation of Latvia and have a tour of Old Town Riga.
