Entrepreneurs to receive support to mitigate economic impact caused by Russia’s military aggression
On Thursday, 2 June, the Saeima adopted in the final reading a law on support measures for entrepreneurs facing the economic consequences of the sanctions and countermeasures imposed against Russia in response to its military aggression. 
Saeima introduces remote work visa
On Thursday, 2 June, the Saeima adopted in the third reading amendments to the Immigration Law. The amendments stipulate the introduction of remote work visas to promote the migration of highly qualified professionals to Latvia. 
Speaker Mūrniece in Chisinau: Moldova must continue reforms on its path towards the EU

Lilac variety “Freedom” dedicated to Saeima’s centenary
On Thursday, 26 May, the Saeima hosted a ceremonial event naming a new lilac variety dedicated to the centenary of the Saeima. The new variety is named “Freedom” (Brīve). It conveys a symbolic message about the commitment to our country’s greatest values — freedom, independence and democracy.

On the Night of Museums, the evening of 14 May, the exhibition Saeima—100 at the Saeima building dedicated to the Parliament’s centenary gathered over one thousand visitors.

Education is also of great importance in building a resilient and viable society," said Ināra Mūrniece, Speaker of the Saeima, on Friday, 13 May, opening the conference of the Baltic Assembly (BA) and the Baltic Council of Ministers “Education, Science and Innovation — key to sustainable and prosperous regional development in the Baltic States”.
