To support Ukrainian society in its fight against aggressor states, the Saeima on Thursday, June 18, adopted in the final reading urgent amendments to the Law on Assistance to Ukrainian Civilians. The amendments provide that the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) must publish, once a month on its website, information about companies that export or import goods to or from Russia or Belarus.

The changes are necessary to support Ukrainian society in its fight against aggressor states, the authors of the amendments — Members of Parliament — have stated.

The State Revenue Service (SRS) will prepare and provide the data to the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB), which will publish it on its website on a monthly basis, indicating the exporter’s and importer’s identification number and name.

It is also stipulated that this information will not be subject to the confidentiality restrictions set out in the law “On Taxes and Fees” regarding data obtained from the tax administration.

The authors of the amendments have emphasized that it is unacceptable for the state budgets of aggressor countries to be supported through cooperation with companies registered in Latvia at a time when those countries continue their full-scale invasion of Ukraine and threaten its independence.
